This isn't indie. - 04

Weeeeell hi. First off, Liz, loved your indie song (: Second off, Neil pleasedon'tgetmadifIdon'tdoanindiesong. BECAUSSSSEEE I want to make nicer titles, and my only redemption in my head is to mix things up a bit. If that made any sense at all.

(edit)

HI NEIL YOU'RE MY FAVE thanks for not disowning me! Now I would like to post, for real this time. The song I chose isn't really indie...apparently the genre is "emo" or some such rubbish. I suppose it could be considered that, but I do so love the band. It's pure quality.

Here we have "The Mixed Tape" by Jack's Mannequin. A lot of my music I like to listen to is fun and upbeat, but I also admire more poetic notes. Even if they are sad.

"The Mixed Tape" is a good heartbroken song. Andrew McMahon is amazing, putting his whole heart and soul in to the music. Give it a shot and just listen:

The Mixed Tape - Jack's Mannequin

"And where are you now?
And this is my mixed tape for her
It's like I wrote every note
With my own fingers"

  1. I love Jack's Mannequin! My very favorite song is Dark Blue (and it has a sweet music video) but The Mixed Tape is one of my favorites. :)
