Welcome to the wonderful blog of music. This blog is all about...well, music that my friends and I listen to and like enough to share with you guys. At the moment there are only two of us, Me (Neil Vaidyanathan), and Alex Livesay, but i hope to convince more of my friends to help out. I will be working on most of the stuff but Alex will be working on more of the indie stuff. This is an experiment that we both hope will work so please try to stick with us if it seems like we are having difficulties... we probably are.
Well to start you off listening to something, here is Opeth. Opeth is a metal band that combines both melodic singing with heavy screamo. I think this is the band that kinda got me into more of the screamo scene. I still don't like full on screaming but when its set to good music and has at least some singing in it I like it.
Now before I go on, I want to say that this is NOT a metal blog. This is a blog exploring all of the different sides of music. We will go from metal to classical to everything in between. The only reason I started with this is because it was the only thing on the computer I was working on at the time. So just because you don't like this first song, that doesn't mean that you won't like the next one, or the next..... or the next... so now that we have that sorted out, I'll continue.
This song is very bi-polar and by that I mean that it has really heavy parts where its just screaming but then the mellow parts are very, well, mellow and this is where he sings. Its a very interesting song... so here it is and enjoy!!! : )
